    PR card renewal is optional as it is needed only for entering back into Canada in case of travel. So your citizenship application will not get impacted. But as we never know if any emergency occurs and we may need to travel to home country, it would be good to have a valid one always.

    They returned my application which was submitted on 11-Nov-2025. Which means your application should have entered their processing queue / will get into processing in a day or two. Hopefully you should be able to link the application by this weekend
