Submitted biometrics for my mom on 15th oct. I see biometrics details updated on the profile but application status still showing as it’s waiting for my action. Any idea why it’s still not updated? Does someone manually changes that?

I would still prefer to stick with GC key. Not in a super hurry as my mom wl already be in Canada. If it takes a month or two extra too, it’s fine.

Canada confirmed that As of September 27, 2021, direct flights from India to Canada will resume.

how do you think it can be a direct route? Maybe direct if you don’t step out of airplane and the same plane brings you to Canada. Otherwise it’s indirect.

It’s already 21 end of day and they still haven’t updated the travel page. I understand Elections are priority for them. But there are 1000s of ppl waiting for this clarity on Twitter or IRCC portal.

That means if we take direct flight from Delhi, we can use RTPcR from delhi airport. But if we take any connecting flight, we need to get test from 3rd country as before. Right??

When I said 2-5 years, I meant traveling to home country every 1.5 years and returning in couple of months. I don’t plan to apply extension until it’s really required. Maybe 3-4 such trips to home country are manageable until parents get a PR. Hope this should be safe and not against immigration...

Got eCoPR on Aug 27. Since then waiting for any update on PR portal. Photos and address still in review by IRCC. Waiting for PR card. How long this process takes? Can we somehow expedite the process? Also I cannot link it to my CIC account.
