PPR is taking two to three weeks for a lot of people.

Spoke to my MP today. They found out after calling IRCC that security is finally completed. Everything has passed and the only item left is Criminality which hasn’t started yet. It took almost 5 months for security to pass after getting pre-arrival in June. File is in LVO.

Eligibility is but doesn’t seem that security is.

July 2020 applicant here. Received pre-Arrival on June 12 and nothing after that. GCMS notes show no concern. It’s been 4 1/2 months now. MP is no help. Is there anything else I can do? LVO is emailing back that the application is still in progress.

I’m currently stuck on Our per-arrival stage since June 12, 2021. Is anyone else still in the same boat? MP won’t request more information on our behalf and after sending a web form and email, we have not received a response back.

Not necessarily. I’m currently a pre-arrival and my background check started two weeks after receiving it (if at all yet) and security and criminality has not started. I know this as my MP called me confirming it.

Hi Everyone, If I go to the Islamabad office in Pakistan myself to drop off my passport, how long would it take to receive the stamp? Same day? Im thinking about driving to a Islamabad to drop off the passport when I eventually get the ppr.

Is there no option to go to Islamabad ourselves to do it?

Hi everyone, can someone please clarify passport request for me? Once my wife receives her passport request in Pakistan, what are the next steps? Does she mail out the passport or is it better to visit an office? She currently resides in Lahore!

It means that they will send it to the correct office and return it once stamped. Just make sure you have your correct address listed and if you are unsure, call IRCC to verify!

They will mail it back to the address that you’re currently living at. If you are in a visitor visa, make sure your address was updated in GCKey
