how long would an investigation last from date of application, 1yr? 2yrs? in my case it has been over a year since they received my application, just curious when would they take a decesion? incase they wanted to cancel my pr status, why are they letting me live in this country for over 9 months...

Let's say if the H & C process goes on for 7 more months, by then I would have completed my pr obligations - so technically if the process takes a long time,they would not be able to reject my renewal application because I would have then completed 730 days stay in Canada. What are your views?

My wife and son have their PR already renewed.Can they reject mine even though I have completed 500 days.
