I'm a US Citizen and am staying in Canada right now with a friend. I'm in the process of obtaining my landed papers, and would like to know what I need to do and where I need to go to get it done properly?

I'm about to get my landed papers (for myself and my son),and I don't know what to do next, please advise? I was informed to take the landed papers to the border to make it official...I don't understand that process, but I need to know what I need to bring with me for the process. Thanks! ~N
