AOR in February 2017 - Connect Here!

The flagpole is a quick way to do landing. Booking an appointment with CIC office is officially recommended but it would take up to 3 month. You don't have to leave Canada with this approach, it just takes longer time. Also, you don't need an US visa to do the flagpole (which I don't have)

Yes - absolutely, I was told by the officer who issued my temp PR that the temporary PR only works if you are coming from US and NOT by AIR. If you are traveling by air, you will need your travel visa.

Yes - basically that's told in the letter you will receive along with passport and CoPR. You need to "register" at Canadian boarder, airport or rainbow bridge etc.

HELP: Under CEC class, what doc does CIC normally asks for?

OMG - super thanks. I'm actually reading CIC websites too (should have done it long time ago) The Offer of employment is only needed " if the applicant claims to have a qualifying offer of arranged employment" quote from CIC website and that's a big NO for me. Guess I have to explain it well...

HELP: Under CEC class, what doc does CIC normally asks for?

Thanks, but I entered "YES" in my EE profile, but didn't claim any points since I selected "NO" for LMIA. Does it matter if I put NO in ITA form? Would the inconsistency be any problem?

HELP: Under CEC class, what doc does CIC normally asks for?

I DO NOT have LMIA or "valid job offer", that's why I'm confused. It's asking for "Offer of employment", does it mean LMIA job offer? or just regular any-type job offer? I'm currently on PGWP
