I know this seems like a dumb question but I'm only asking because I keep seeing stuff about being highly skilled but highly skilled at what? What are these jobs that need highly skilled top-of-the-line workers?

I'm not sure what qualifies as a "skilled worker". Can someone shed some light on this?
