How much funds should my parents have in their account?

My parents are saying they should have ~$200k in fixed deposits and such. These are accounts they can withdraw with one click. But the problem is, since they haven’t deposited or withdrawn any money from it in the last 6 months, they bank doesn’t show the balance in recent statements. A quirk...

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Oh, interesting. If not for the house, what are some example ties back to home? They’re both retired, so I can’t show any current job. We have all the extended family over there if that helps?

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Yep. We're planning to invite both our parents to our home here. Both mine and her parent are getting really old. So we wanted to bring them and do sight-seeing together when they still have good health. I didn't want to combine all questions into one mega-thread. Hence multiple threads. Sorry...

How much funds should my parents have in their account?

Makes sense. Is it okay for me to send my money to their account in case they don't have enough in theirs? I don't plan to do this, but I have no idea how much money dad has. So just asking in case they don't.

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Oh nice! I've never thought of that. If I add her name, that fund qualifies as her fund as well, right?

How much funds should my parents have in their account?

Got it. So $10k per person for 2 weeks means approximately $1000/day per person, correct? Just curious, does IRCC release official guidance on minimum fund required?

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Oh I see. I can definitely provide my in-law's bank statements. But would the sponsor (my wife) having no funds be an issue? Because as I was saying, we keep our money together in my account (mostly because she doesn't particularly enjoy managing money and we trust each other).

How much funds should my parents have in their account?

Thank you so much for your reply :) I'm a PR btw. But I heard the processing time for super visa is very long, and also the medical checks can be tricky since they're elderly people (both aged between 60-70). Also, I know they will never agree to stay more than a month due to their connections...

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Thanks for replying. Both my wife and I are PRs in Canada. My wife can issue the invitation, but all our family's funds are in my account. Would this be an issue? We're planning to show their house and land property as ties. My father-in-law is also working currently.

How much funds should my parents have in their account?

I'm applying for a visitor visa for my parents to visit Vancouver. They are both retired bank employees. I will be funding 100% of the trip including the tickets. My dad has C$3000 in their savings account statement (although there's more funds in other investments). They will be visiting for...

Can I invite my in-law parents for a visitor visa using my funds?

Hi. I'm planning to invite my wife's parents for a short visit to Vancouver. They plan to stay 1 month with us and we'll mostly be visiting nearby tourist attractions. I would love opinion from you experts here regarding these questions - My wife isn't working, so she doesn't have much funds in...

Has anyone booked actual flight tickets for visa application?

Thank you for this information! :) By "planned flight", do you mean just a paper saying I'm planning to book a particular flight, the date and it's cost? Or is it one of those "dummy flight tickets" from sites like https://dummyticket247.com?

Has anyone booked actual flight tickets for visa application?

Hi friends! My parents are planning to visit Canada soon once they get a tourist visa. I know that they ask "confirmed flight reservation" for the application. Has anyone had success without a fully paid flight reservation? I was planning to get a fully-refundable ticket. But is there any other...

Is there higher chance of Visa Rejections for my Parents because of India-Canada tensions?

For context, I was told of this higher rejection rate by a local travel agent in my town. I know he may be lying or doesn't have the full info. That's why I ask.

Is there higher chance of Visa Rejections for my Parents because of India-Canada tensions?

Folks! I'm a Permanent Resident in BC, Canada. I have my parents back in India who would like to visit me once in a while. I was thinking of applying for either a tourist visa or super visa for them. My parents have no plans to settle down in Canada, they just want to visit me. Here are some...
