    It’s is clearly written that you are authorized to work until a decision is made or until Jan 15 , which ever is first. This means that if you don’t receive decision by Jan 15 then you are not authorized to work .

    The letter actually says that your work authorization is no longer valid if I don't receive a decision on or before Jan 15 2025.
