Has anyone heard about a case where one gets a lower band for writing more than the word limit in writing task 2? My friend wrote 450 words in task 2.

Hi! I gave my computer based IELTS BC exam on Nov 8th in Ottawa,Canada. Got my result today. I got 8.5(Listening), 9(Reading), 7.5(Speaking) and 6.5(Writing). Planning to apply for an EOR to 0.5 increase in Writing. I am pretty sure I did better than 6.5. Did anyone who gave the exam on the same...
