    I also arranged insurance through Manulife in Canada - as the NZ options were super expensive ($1500 -2000) compared to 600CAD for Manulife! They had no problem at the border with that.

    This isn't a rumour - Steven Harper and John Key agreed to this when Stephen Harper visited NZ this month. I can't post the link but it's a Canadian Govt press release - just google Stephen Harper and NZ IEC. I don't know when this will happen though....
