thank you for your quick response. However, I really dont understand why he needs to sponsor me. we are not getting married we are being partners under common law. why he has to sponsor me I can pay my all expenses by myself too.

Did he claim refugee status on the basis of being gay? Yes. He is gay What if he wants to marry ? does he still need to sponsor ?

But he did refugee claiment in 2016 and got his pr in 2019. We shared the same house.we were friends at first. Our relationship started after he applied for his refugee claim. He is lgbt. So he can never do common law with someone?

We have been living together since 2016. He got his PR last year (2019)almost 1 year ago
