I got a letter from CIC asking for my police certificate... In my country (Mexico) there's 2 kinds of police certificate: 1 from all the country and the 2 from my state... I dont know which they ask for... Does anyone know?

Are you able to receive a Work Permit or Study visa after AIP (first stage approval) if you had no status at the time of them giving it to you?

If I have already been approved in principle (been given first stage approval) is there anyway the local CIC may still call me and my spouse in for an interview? I have been told if you receive the AIP you will not be interviewed and have been told you still might be. Any know for 100% sure...

Are you sure there will be no interview if you have received the AIP letter? Can anyone confirm that statement?

OK thanks so much.. Do you know what the chances of getting or not getting an interview are? When they approve you for permanent residence do you need to leave the country and re-enter?

Are you sending the application to London , Ontario or London , England?

As being someone who is familiar with the sponsorship process I would highly recommend you send the open work permit application with the sponsorship application.But.... It is very important that the person getting sponsored from within Canada has status at the time of the application getting...

I received the approval in principle letter the other day which I was really happy to see finally... so I called the immigration call center to confirm that I am eligible to get an open work permit or study , if I wish , and they told me because I didn't have status in Canada when I received...

OK thanks young love.. The First big paragraph in that template is exactly the same but the rest is different. Maybe I will just call the Call Centre tomorrow to find out for sure. Once im 100% sure ill give the timelines. Dont want to give anyone false info. Thanks
