Thanks! For clarity, the kid has been studying in TDSB school for 11th and 12th grade.

Because the kids passport expires just around the time he completes his 12th grade and he will be applying to universities. The study permit is valid only till the time the passport is valid, hence. The parents permits have validity longer than the kids.

He is on a dependent Study Permit and validity of the permit is for another year. The thing is that if he has to travel and the passport on the permit is different than what he will travel with...wont it cause any issues at the immigration?
