    I also got confused at some points listed above. But I think POF is not needed for CEC applicants but yes we should carry bank statements always instead of cash or DD or travellers' cheques.

    We do have funds but conversion from pounds to cad rates are high and we are planning a week's trip only; so after that we again have to convert from cad to pounds; I hope you understand my problem.

    But my lawyer is saying: Bank statement you can carry only of Canadian account,, for UK you need to carry the funds either in travelers cheque or draft. I know you applied under CEC, to be on the safer side carry the funds. :'(
