PCC is valid for 1 year after submitting to VO...PCC is NOT need ed by CIO. But when u submit PCC to VO, it should b issued within previous 3 months...so confusing..got it? so better submit ur PCC to CIO as it will be useless by OCT 07...:D

U mailed on 23 rd June to CIO according to old rules? And they changed rules on 26th June... so if u sent ur application according to old rules then it is unacceptable to CIO if it reached them after 26th JUne...Did u get any delivery date from courier/speed post people? Better apply again with...

hey Indira, u can use paper clip to separate the CIO & VO Papers...i did that...

Notarised copy of DOB certificate is sufficient....DO NOT SEND ANYTHING ORIGINAL UNLESS CLEARLY STATED IN CHECKLIST.. :o >:( ;)

i think DOB certificate is a must for CIO.They returned some applications for want of DOB certificate.U can apply to ur municipal council for DOB certificate...if not available, they will issue u a "NOT FOUND" Birth certificate in HIndi/ur local state language...then get it translated into...
