So I've been illegal since I got divorced? Wow. Could I change the conditions and/or extend the work permit whilst I wait on my residency application being processed? Would they amend it? Should I have left the country when I divorced?

My open work permit is linked to my now ex-husband's work permit. It expires in Oct - but my residency is still being processed. Can I extend the work permit & change the conditions (i.e. now that I'm divorced it would be in my name, not associated to his) whilst I wait for my residency...
