Wife's passport - with Visa in it - was delivered today. Gotta love Saturday afternoon deliveries.
Tickets are now bought and the family will be in Canada for March 1st.
For anyone who is curious:
1. We translated them ourselves.
2. We did not get them notarized.
We received our PPR 2 months from the date we mailed the documents. South Korea does not require notorized documents if they are translated by the person who is submitting the application.
Submitted my wife's Passport yesterday. Luckily the Korean government rushed all their work for us, so she got her expat-passport in 3 days instead of 2 weeks.. ;D
Yup, next set is her passport. We need to head in Monday and get her a Korean expat passport, that takes a little over a week. Then send it into the embassy here for the visa stamp. Then finalize move plans...
good luck, hope you hear back soon.
We got the PPR by mail today.
App was sent in on Nov.17th and PPR letter was sent January 25th. Considering the holiday in between that's a pretty fast time. Now comes the fun part, packing up and moving a family half way around the globe
Logged in today and saw 'In Process' Clicked on it and learned that it has been in process since Dec. 22nd. Looks like we are progressing along nicely.
I just logged in today and got a decision made. Is it a good sign when the decision for application to sponsor is made quickly. I swear my heart is jumping outa my chest right now, I don;t know if I should be worried or excited.
