A day after I posted this question they sent me an email requesting the passport so I'm not sure what happened there but we were sure we included a copy of his diploma with our application so maybe the found it after I'm not sure.. But we did send copies of them.. Thanks all for your help

Ya they didn't say anywhere in the email they needed the originals but I just thought that any document they ask for must be original ?
