Splitting up with Common-Law while inland application in process - OWP okay?

Apologies for the late reply once again, having moved abode. I've been asked to send in my medical as part of the PR application so I assume my application will be rejected in June when I've not submitted it. Will see then should they make any note of my OWP. I'm not sure if I'll return to...

Splitting up with Common-Law while inland application in process - OWP okay?

Sorry for late reply to my own thread, lot going on over here. Don't suppose you have a link to the thread of the person that was able to stay? My future is up in the air at the moment but the only think I'm (fairly) sure of is that I'm going to back home to Scotland for a few weeks once my...

Splitting up with Common-Law while inland application in process - OWP okay?

Sort of, it's the Open Work Permit that I applied for along with the PR so that I could work while the PR is processed. It says in the remarks So if the FC APR is withdrawn I wonder if this would be to should I attempt to re-enter the country with it.

Splitting up with Common-Law while inland application in process - OWP okay?

Hi guys, Sadly my Canadian gf and I have split up and will be bringing a halt to our PR application. :( As it was an inland application I'm wondering if my OWP will be terminated once we withdraw the PR application, does anybody know? I've had a look on the CIC site but I quickly become...

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

Hi all, So sadly it appears that my parter and I are splitting up and I'm wondering what effect that will have on my OWP if any. I received it in January and it's valid to Jan 2018. As she is the sponsor, should our inland PR application be retracted could that lead to me OWP being voided...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

I'm trying to call CIC to find out what the errors are on my application that I need to fix but I'm getting 'we're experiencing a high volume of calls and can't connect you to an agent' Call again later. Lovely.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

Hey all, my OWP was in the mail on January 29th, yay. It's a 2 year as expected. I did get another letter from CIC today though saying that there's a problem with my application. I've been assigned a application number and I have 30 days to send the corrected docs to them, unfortunately I...

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

My Inland app and OWP were delivered Sept 15th so I was beginning to get a bit worried about my OWP as it was not a couple of weeks over 4 months so I gave them a call. Pain in the arse to get through but I spoke to a friendly advisor who told me that my work permit was approved for 2 years and...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

Had you applied for a 2nd OWP having only received a 1 year OWP originally? Or did they just send you another one with an extra year? Chuphuc - I wouldn't worry yet, i'd expect your AOR to come in the next few weeks.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

    1. I would be putting it together now, it's nowhere near as long winded as the PR app but the sooner it's done the sooner you'll get it which just now, if all goes well, would be around 4 months time from submission. 2. Info here -...

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

The form 5710 is on the checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5556e.pdf) for the OWP. Sorry to hear though, sounds horrible. I'm still waiting on my OWP to arrive from Sept 15th application, going by previous post it'll still be a couple weeks at least.

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

Seems like a bit of a quirk, my AOR came Dec 15th after it being received Sept 15th so I'd guess Feb 27th for yours.

Is AOR the email from CIC confirming that they have received the application? Apologies, not been on since submitting app in mid September. If so, my AOR arrived on December 15th. Still awaiting my OWP.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

So, my application was received in Mississauga today after I very nervously sent it off yesterday and took a mini grump at the extra $43 to send it that I hadn't thought of >:( ;) Please add me to the spreadsheet of hopeful glory! Application - Common Law & OWP Applied From - Calgary...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

Thanks for mentioning the updated checklist, I was about to seal our application when I saw your post and had a wee panic over what changes their could be! I see the changes only seem to be in the payment part where it changes the instructions slightly but what you did should still be...

Renewing Open Work Permit while awaiting Spousal PR ...

Having issues with the same question and while I hope you're right it really is a bit of a worry having read about how strict they can be. I'm applying for my PR and OWP and I'm currently here on an IEC.
