When can I contribute to TFSA?

If you're American, you might wanna check with your accountant. I believe TFSAs create problems with the IRS.

Move US Student Loans to Canada

Hello, I recently became a PR in Canada. I'm looking to move over my health professional student loans (about $150K american) to Canada. Does anyone have advice on this? I've been to the major banks and it seems like right around prime. Are credit unions worth checking out? Also, any...

Thanks for the reply. I understand the landing itself is a quick procedure. I was just trying to avoid the mess I got into when I got my work permit and waited 7 hours at the Rainbow Bridge because the CIC officer insisted I could have made an appointment at a local office and received a work...

Lol! I find the whole concept of the new forms puzzling. It was stated that new package was announced in December. I applied before that. I had called and asked about submitting old package and if I should be concerned. They said not to worry, it doesn't change anything for the old package...

Hi Everyone, I got my PPR today. It says not to fill out the address section in the return envelope. Won't Canada Post care? Also my address is listed in the USA. But, I signed the form so my spouse can act on my behalf. Who will they be sending it to? Thanks! EDIT: NVM, I clearly cannot...

    1. Definitely Outland. Without a doubt unless you want to wait 2-3 years for inland. 2. That's pretty much in the packet. Nothing fancy. Just follow instructions. 3. Yes it is simple. I have a work permit in Canada. I got DM last week, hopefully a good decision. We shall see. But a work permit...
