In theory it should be processed in LA, but sometimes they forward online applications to other offices when they have high volume of applications. Most likely it is in LA.

Guys, I just received approval notification from LA visa office!!! I dont need a visa, so they did not request for my passport. As we expected, they started approving study permits right before the start date.

Surprisingly, LA replied to one of my e-mails today: Dear Applicant, Your medical results are in and your on-line application was forwarded to the Immigration Officer for finalization. Visa Section My medical results were passed almost 3 weeks ago. So far, 12 weeks processing time.

I am in miami, FL. All study permit applications from within US are processed in LA.

After the 6 week I contacted them and they replied that tha aplication was still waiting to be reviewed, so no way they woukd finish before 4 weeks if they have not even opened tha application in the 6 week. Ever since then they have not replied to any email, and there is no other way to contact...

They requested medicals on the 7th week. I have not seen many cases when they processed within the 4 weeks timeline in LA. The most common is 2-3 months from what I have read in the forum.

it seems there is no trend with LA visa office. August applicants are receiving updates (which is good!), but early June/July applicants are not receiving any kind of notification from the visa office. I would say you should get your passport back in 2 weeks approximately.

Considering you still have a lot of time to start your program, and LA timelines, your application will probably take around 3 months. From what I have seen, timelines reported in the website are completely useless and inaccurate at least for online applications.
