I am a CEC British applicant and got my PPR request last Friday, however as I am British apparently they only requested a photocopy of my passport which I sent Friday. My CIC profile has had no change though, still says in progress for eligibility + background check, is this normal?

Hey I should hopefully be getting my old paper based system PNP nomination soon. I was wondering if it is possible to use this for an express entry profile to give me an extra 600 points? For example using the PNP nomination for EE CEC. Does anyone know if this is allowed?

I've already paid $2000 already, I guess I would have to pay an additional fee if I did it this way. It just seems odd that people are getting nominated before someone who is already working in the country for over a year.
