    Removing Restrictions from OWP

Hello, thanks for responding. The conditions cannot be changed on the current work permit, that is why I need a new WP. See this: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=844&top=4 If you want to work in a job that requires a medical exam, you must apply for a new work permit.

    Apply for OHIP after landed

You can apply immediately. They waived the requirement. https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card Scroll down and you'll see this: There is no waiting period for OHIP. You do not need to wait to be physically present for the days above before applying. You can apply for...

    Removing Restrictions from OWP

Hi All, I've scoured the past discussions on this, but I just need to clarify a couple of things. Please kindly help. I have an OWP with restrictions (can't work in the medical setting, etc.). I saw that we can remove the restrictions doing an upfront medical. Could you help me confirm several...

    CRS drop estimate

You have to look closely for each province. I think for Ontario, there are some streams that operate through Express Entry - for these streams you don't need to apply separately.

    CRS drop estimate

We don't really know, but suppose that the CRS cut off score will drop by 2 points every 2 weeks. Now the minimum score is 490, so 44 points to go, which means 44 weeks from now. That is assuming there will be regular draws and the number of the people in the pool doesn't spike, and no change in...

    Proportional Points for Canadian Experience

I was wondering whether this has been discussed before. A person who has at least a year of Canadian experience would get 50 points for the CRS, but a person who only has 11 months of Canadian experience would get 0 point. Has anyone suggested to give 11/12*50 points for the latter case? Why all...

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 Let's hope that they will have a mega draw on Wednesday!

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 Thanks for the updates! I just added the Canadian Experience again and it looks like the bugs have been fixed. Hopefully it remains that way. Did you know for sure that there will be a draw next Wednesday?

    Eligibility Question

No, I think it was right of you to decline the ITA. Your application would've been rejected.

    Eligibility Question

@Deiniol Oh man, I spoke too fast! Now it is showing that I am eligible again. I'm going to take it off again. @bslay235 don't bother adding it back yet. The bugs are still there!

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 and @Deiniol, they have fixed the bugs! I've inserted the Canadian experience again (less than a year) and now it's shown I'm not eligible for CEC. Thanks for all the discussions. Let's keep in touch.

Number of ITAs so far in 2022

@zain1291 In 2021, there was no draw on December 8 (Wednesday). It happened on the Friday (December 10), though. So there may be a draw today or tomorrow, but who knows.

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 and @Deiniol, looks like there won't be any draw today. But I saw that there's a scheduled maintenance this midnight until 5.30 am. Tomorrow morning I'll put in the Canadian experience again to see whether the bug has been fixed. Better to have it in the EE profile than writing an LOE...

Number of ITAs so far in 2022

@timhortonsspender You are probably right. According to this website: https://immigrationnewscanada.ca/canada-immigration-backlog-reduces-to-1-2-million-new-ircc-data/ 603,700 324,000 279,700 324,000 are in backlog and 279,700 are in standard processing times, with a total of 603,700 in...

Number of ITAs so far in 2022

Looks like there have been only more than 40,000 ITAs so far in 2022 for all programs draws. There were more than 100,000 ITAs in 2021 and 2020. We only have two draws left for this year. Let's see whether there will be two massive invitations coming up. Good luck to everyone today!

    Eligibility Question

@Rahal2000 Thanks, Rahal. I finally figured out that we have to sign again before it is submitted. @bslay235 and @Deiniol, good luck on today's draw!

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 I removed the Canadian experience now, but the profile says "Update not Submitted". How long in your experience did it take from that to "Transmitted"? Good luck on the draw today!

    Eligibility Question

Thanks for this clarification, @bslay235. That completely makes sense. @Deiniol, after you removed your Canadian experience, how long did it take for the website to remove your eligibility for CEC? I hope you'll get an invite soon!

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 @Deiniol Here's the excerpt: Candidates’ Express Entry profile is automatically “locked” when they are issued an ITA. Candidates can only revise their profile information if they formally decline the ITA through their online account; however, their information may be updated in their...

    Eligibility Question

@bslay235 As I asked in my reply to @Deiniol , can you add the experience after getting ITA? I thought the profile would be locked already.
