    August 2020 - Citizenship application

Hi, @dpenabill. I have just got my PR approved in April this year, my passport from my home country is about to expire. I have decided not to renew my passport just due to 2 reasons: 1. I hate the government of my home country because of their dictatorship and do not want to deal with the...

    Thank you >>>>>>>>> Legalfalcon <<<<<<<<<<<

@legalfalcon Thank you for your reply. I have one more question, how about raising my issue to the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration? Will they give a push to IRCC to finalize their work? I suppose this parliamentary committee serves as a higher authority of IRCC and is...

    Thank you >>>>>>>>> Legalfalcon <<<<<<<<<<<

Hi. @legalfalcon. I submitted my PR application under CEC in October 2019. I am an inland applicant, single, with no children. Until today they are still putting my file on hold. According to my GCMS notes, the very last update was made by IRCC on Oct 21, 2020, which says my file was...

Their phone number is 1-888-242-2100, but try to use an IRCC webform. It does not make much sense calling them. The CIC call agents usually do not provide any details.

The same issue with me. I received that biometric letter in April while I submitted my application in October 2019. I also paid the biometric fee, but I don't care about refund any more as long as they can waive this requirement for me. It is frustrating that after 8 months that I still need to...

"IRCC will continue to process new applications for permanent residence. Files with missing documents will be retained in the system and reviewed within 90 days. " This does not mean they will continue issuing PPRs.

I think they have stopped issueing PPRs due to the outbreak of coronavirus. I have not heard of anyone who is an inland applicant got the PPR email over the past week. We have to wait for this issue to end til summertime.
