Guys - today i received my passport and citizenship certificates back. A 6 year journey that ended up today nicely with only thing remaining is the memories of all the time i have spent on this life changing experience. This forum is so valuable and honestly, i think i couldn’t have come over...

Well guys i ve been assigned an oath date for next week and soon my whole journey with immigration and citizenship will be over. I am a bit emotional right now but what a journey! About 7 years of my (our) life was spent just to reach this day, and this forum is priceless, and for free too...

I wish i could, but can’t put aside a trip i ve been planning fir so long… will have to reschedule

Donyou guys know if we can Attend the ceremony while abroad? I ve just been scheduled an oath ceremony date but i ´ll be away… i have sent them an email last month informing them about the dates of my trip but looks like they didn’t read the webform yet…

i posted the same question, no one really knows it seems as the timeframe seems to be volatile.

an update from my end: everything turned completed today morning except for citizenship ceremony. Decision made also appeared on the old tracker. Do you guys know how much time from DM to ceremony? i can't open the tracker to view the average myself.... hope you guys are next, hang tight :)

Nah that can't be right! people are getting their oaths everyday, 4 to 6 months could be in 20-30% of cases (not 70-80% of cases as one could think)

I am right to say that generally, it takes about 2/3months from test "completed" to Oath? it seems so by looking at a handful of people who posted their timelines here, it looks like 2.5 months after test turns completed to have oath or at least DM... Plus, on the CIC website, they say oath is...

passed the test since 3rd of April, status completed the 4th... and then it's just wind blowing, dead silence! will it end someday this thing?

Man i ve never known i am (we are) this resilient… most if the last 5 years has been spent waiting : waiting for nomination, waiting for ItA, waiting for PR then wainting for 3 years of physical presence, waiting for AoR, waiting for test, now waiting for oath then will be waiting fir passports...

It is just your experience, you perspective and the world you saw with your eyes that are talking about Quebec (maybe mixed with some friends' opinions also)! I won't tell you about Quebec because you surely aren't intereseted to know how I see my world (answer: objectively for the most part) ;)

I think it might be a bit early to see DMs (we just started getting through tests these days)

An update from me: I have passed the tests and waiting for the results to reflect on the website. On the 27 month waiting period, we all know that Canada boosted the immigrant number back in 2017/2018, so fastforward 4 years, all these people will most likely submit their citizenship app around...
