Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

A note to future applicants!!! Do not take the status displayed in the online passport application tracker at its face value. Our status was displayed as follows for 1 day and on the next day our passports were delivered. Needless to say, we were frightened out of our wits, and were...

    July 2023 - Citizenship Applications

I took my oath yesterday along with 136 other applicants on a Zoom call. It was a mixed experience with chaos and happiness. The judge was very good although very compassionate and straightforward (he even threatened to kick a few people out who were talking non-stop during the oath or were not...

In the oath email PDF it explicitly says this Apart from SoHunny's valid response, I think that one more reason to not lie is that if someone says that they are in Canada, and they aren't, it can be construed as misrepresentation and can cause problems down the road. However, will they pursue...

Typically, how long is the wait between (background and test complete) and (LPP complete)? My test was marked completed on the 25th September and background was marked complete on 4th of October. LPP is in progress from 20th of September.

Glad that it worked out for you. One big disadvantage of TN visa I found is that the spouse can't work, and they'll also have to apply for a TN visa separately. That might be a problem if their occupation isn't eligible for a TN visa. I don't know how easy/difficult it is to get an L1 for them...

Sent in my citizenship application a few weeks ago, can I now change my province as a PNP PR?

Thanks for your reply! Is being unable to afford housing considered a valid reason to leave? I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I make this decision.

Sent in my citizenship application a few weeks ago, can I now change my province as a PNP PR?

I got my permanent residency through OINP 4 years ago and I have successfully sent in my citizenship application a few weeks ago. My question is, can I move to the prairies, now that my citizenship application is sent and being processed? My reason for wanting to leave Ontario is because I...
