I really appreciate the amount of effort you have put into your very thorough reply. We have payslips showing we lived in the same address since our move to the UK in 2008. We also have university degrees and high school diplomas showing we studied together. Fingers crossed!

Can you clear this part up? Here is our situation. We met and dated since 1999. I was a PR before I met her at university. We moved together to the UK in 2008 and have proof of living together etc. We married in the UK in May 2013.1

There is another consideration. My wife was born in Canada and has an active Canadian passport. She holds dual nationality as she is also now a UK passport holder. Does this change things? A PR travel document was something I briefly read about. We are planing on visiting in August.

Thanks for the really speedy responses! It looks like renouncing is the only option, which isn't am issue given I have permanently moved back to the UK. Do you imagine there would be any issues with that and what are the timescales?
