Does first PR card application show up on ECAS?

Wife's PR card was mailed on the Dec 15. Application received by CIC on Sep 24. Another question - my mom landed on the Oct 26 but her first PR card application is still not on ECAS. Is this normal? Thanks

oh this is bad, I just posted that my wife's application was delivered on Sep 24 using lettermail and she just received AOR today. Do you wanna give them a call?

Also, what is PR portal? I keep seeing people mentioning that and it seems that if PR card application is sent thru that portal it'll be super fast? My mom landed at YVR almost two months ago and the officers never mentioned PR Portal to her

Exactly, my mother received her CoPR today! What a long journey. I still have one last thing to deal with CIC - my wife's citizenship!

If you really are unable to obtain the requested PCC, write a LoE to CIC When my wife was applying for her PR, CIC requested for the PCC from Myanmar which was impossible because it can only be applied in person. We wrote a LoE and CIC accepted

Don't count on days, it'll drive you nuts. Every case is different. My mom had her 2nd ME done at the end of April and she received pre-arrival letter and PPR just last week, so almost 3 months apart.

For applicants who don't need a Visa to enter Canada, will there still be PPR?

Dealing with CIC is a very frustrating and torturing process. They are a huge black box and very few people know how CIC works under the hood..

They will update for you. My mom's 2nd ME was done at the end of April and her results was finally updated on MyCIC last week in mid-June

ME was done Apr 29, but not until June 17 for MyCIC to update the results.
