Has anyone applied for writ of mandamus and found it effective? Or is it just an extra 2K lost

What are reasons that might prompt additional security screenings on an application. Has anyone gone through one of those?? how long do they take and what course of action can be taken by the applicant.

Are you saying I have to wait for an extra year for additional security screening? What could be possible reasons for additional security screenings? Could it be cuz I travelled quite a lot during the 5 year period?

Is 730 days the ONLY requirement for PR renewal after 5 years or are there others factors required? Like do u have to work or pay taxes in Canada along with the 730 days to be eligible for a pr renewal after 5 years?
