I applied from Canada, and as soon as status showed “wrong police station”, I contacted the Consulate with the application number and mentioned to them the correct police station, so instead of rejecting application or returning the application to me, they forwarded the application to correct...

It should not take more than 3 weeks. I had made a mistake in selecting wrong police station on my FIL's application but MIL's application had correct police station. Her PCC came in 3 weeks and FIL's took 4 weeks, we got it on the day of deadline. Phewww....

Get it done with BLS/Consulate. Less headache than getting it done in India. I did the same for my in laws.

This will sound weird but did you ever consider reapplying with Portal?

I have heard that IRCC portal is quicker but at the same time, even those claims are false as on this forum I have seen people claming both to be of same pace. I did the applications myself but when I was not sure if that would be okay or not, I consulted an agent and she suggested withdrawing...

I did them with the IRCC portal which was registered using my email id for both applications. What I learned was that Supervisa is still faster than a regular visa and that to keep both applications, they will remove the regular one and process the supervisa.
