Hi, for those who have already flown to Canada as an international student, did you have to get a certificate from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (PDOS)?

I think you can ask your student advisor about this because they would be able to tell you the things you need to prepare and accomplish before school starts. So they can advise you how much time you will need and you can plan your arrival around that + mandatory quarantine

I just got this cleared up. Apparently they had mistaken an article talking about plans of Canada to implement a vaccine passport to be an official directive of the government. It may be a requirement in the near future, but they acknowledged that it is not mandatory as of present time.

I have no idea why the student adviser insisted the vaccine is mandatory. I talked to another student planning to travel to Canada and he talked to the same adviser but was not informed of this "new travel rule".

Yes, that's what I thought because Ive been reading quite extensively about the requirements for arriving in CAnada but havent come across such a guideline. Could they have been informed about future guidelines, though?

TAV College (Montreal, Quebec) informed me that inorder to travel to Canada I would need to get vaccinated under new travel rules. I cant seem to find any official published resource / article on this new rule. Does anyone have a link to the documentation of this guideline? Thank you!

Oh, so i might be arriving too early if I fly in June 28/29 for August 16 start of classes? I had no idea people get denied ot point of entry because of this! Thanks! Will the student permit be issued at the initial point of entry or Montreal?

I am a bit clueless on how to purchase the flight with that 3 day quarantine in mind. When I go to the Air Canada website, all flights to Montreal pass through Ontario and the transfer between the two is only hours apart. How should I factor the 3day quarantine in? Sorry if this is a stupid...
