I have just got married to my partner who is an asylum seeker in the USA. I am sponsoring her for immigration to Canada. Will my wife be able to get a visitor visa if we apply for this while our application is being processed?

Would her application for asylum negatively impact my spousal sponsorship to come to Canada if we got married?

Would it make any difference if she left the USA (and abandoned the asylum petition) and returned to Brazil before applying for the study permit?

Would it make any difference if she left the US and went back to Brazil before applying?

My girlfriend is Brazilian and residing in the USA awaiting a ruling on her asylum petition (which is likely a few years away). She would like to come to Canada to study English. Will Canada refuse her a study permit as a result of her seeking asylum in the USA?
