Try to get the original plastic card but if you cant then come with your temporary licence issued but i cant guarantee u ll drive with that, to be on a safer side u can make an international drivers licence to back the temporary licence up. but i seriously recommend you try to get ur original...

Don't know but I think USA agreements with Canada would have some exemptions. Check with drive test Ontario. You might not have to get a validation letter for your licence.

If he gets his Ontario DL before importing, he cannot drive the car. So I would wait until you import the car.
