Not sure if this's the reason but both me and my wife renewed our passports after application submission. This is frustrating and hope your files will get processed soon. :(

Today I got LPP completed. Now waiting for ceremony email. Not sure how long it would take but at least there’s some hope. I submitted my passport scans on Aug 27 after no progress since October last year

Hey guys, the Surrey IRCC office just emailed us to scan all pages including blank pages of our passport. Wondering if they are touching our applications now? Any good things should happen after this?

Same situation here, same office same timeline. No updates nothing. Called IRCC yesterday and I asked if they thought their service was good, they said of course it's fair and good. I was speechless. And I am in communication with my local MP, they are not useful either. What they are doing now...

That's ridiculous. They do not seem to look back and check if your file is stuck

I had my MP office help me finally. She spoke to IRCC and they told me my case is stuck at Security clearance due to my country of origin. This is weird that they never follow up to get it done

What did you ask the mp? I contacted them but they refused to help and asked me to wait 14 months before calling them again. So ignorant…

So I requested GMCS notes for my application. It says on Oct 10 LPP all not started. Next week on Oct 17, got security clearance from RCMP and Prohibitions PASSED. Now I'm waiting for them to start Language and Presence verification. So frustrating it's more than 6 months why they are not...

In my case, my wife PR card application was approved 4 days later than mine. You can link your PR card applications on cic.gc.ca to see the real approval status.
