Yes.. I believe that they start working in your case once they receive the medical results... on the C.E. in Mexico website, under the students visa.. they give you an answer to your application 21 working days before the day you did your medical exams..

I don't know if they do the research... what I know for sure is that, if the officers discover that you lied on your application.. you won't be able to apply or visit Canada for two years from the date your visa refusal is issued. Good Luck!

oh its true.. there are some countries like USA, Mexico, UK among others, that their citizens can visit Canada without a visa as long as the visit is no longer than 6 months..

This happens... I also loosed a job.. 2.5 per month and apartment included..... why I didn't took the job?.. because I'm waiting to get an answer on my student visa application...

If they already spoke with you and told you that the case need more time to study.. there's is nothing you can really do.. just wait for their answer.. Good Luck!

You have to check that on the Canadian Embassy website for your country.... here in Mexico is 20 working days after the medicals are done...

I believe you will have to apply for a work permit on your own... I wish I could give you more information but I don't know much about work permits
