with the processing times growing each time I think that waiting for the embassy to ask for the medicals is the smarter way to go - so that they don't lose their validity. now I wish I would have chosen the same alternative :(

how do they even verify if the two are living together? are they doing house visits or ask for residency type documents from time to time?

I don't think the VO is looking only for the answers to be the same when asking this kind of questions. If you prepare to much, your responses may sound rehearsed. Maybe honesty and the occasional truthful "I have no idea" is best. Maybe preparing yourself for the topics is OK, but i wouldn't...

just wait for the sponsor to be approved - by then you will already know you immigration file number. than in about 1-2 months, send to the embassy the medical report you got when you had the medical exam, specifying the immig. file number. everything will be ok :)
