    I can only go based on my own experience but as the sponsor after I received the AOR my status changed to in process.After I was approved as sponsor it changed to decision made while the primary applicant's status moved from application received to in process.

    Ecas is not dependable and should not be used as a gauge.I have a relative who completed the PR process and his Ecas status never changed from docs. received. Don't stress over it. If you want to know your status make a call to to the call centre and check with one of the agents .

    To my understanding: For the sponsor it changes to "in process" after AOR is sent out. For the primary applicant it changes to "in process" after AIP has been sent out- This would be the second stage of the process.

    If your husband is the sponsor and he has received an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) his UCI number would be on the document.if you are the sponsor the same applies.

    Daizey to check the status of applicant or sponsor you may enter info for the sponsor stating: Sponsor's : unique Client identification number (UCI) Sponsors: surname Sponsors: date of birth Sponsors: Country of birth The display will give information for both sponsor and applicant.
