My eCas has changed from Application Received to In Process!

A couple of weeks ago I finally got the medical request, and that same day I got another email requesting the payment of the RPRF. No idea what that means in terms of time, or status. I'm still in "application received" mode on ECAS.

Thanks, the weird thing is also today, but later I got an email from my VO asking for 2 photos for each family member and requesting the payment of the Right of Permanent Residence fees. Looks like they actually started working on my case.

No, I haven't contacted them yet. Since it says that if its inside the normal processing times you shouldn't contact them, and the average time for processing in Buenos Aires is 12 months. My eCas still says application received. But I guess that is not very informative really. My AOR said...

Tell me about it. I haven't even gotten my medical request yet!! Applied 5 months ago, got my AOR 3 months ago, and nothing after that. Its really frustrating.

Thanks Ojeola, that at least gives me a better perspective timewise. I am not in a hurry to move, but I do like to see progress from time to time to allow me to plan my move in advance.

Hi All: Getting a bit anxious here. I got AOR on october 18th, and haven't gotten the MR yet. I'm assuming my VO (Buenos Aires) is slow! eCas says application received.

OK, thanks Ojeola. I guess we will just have to wait to see. I just hope the whole process all the way to the PR doesn't take more than a year.

So, you mean that when applying from abroad it takes 46 days to get the MR, vs almost immediately when applying from inside Canada?

Same situation here my friend. Its been 2 weeks from AOR and now news from my VO, or MR.

LOL! I don't live in Argentina, I live in Uruguay, but the VO that processes our applications is from our big neighbor country. BTW, still waiting for med request...
