Nothing here yet :( . I am constantly checking this post to see if anyone has any updates on their process. Ill definitely update as soon as I hear anything. So you guys all better too hahaha.
Has anyone gotten a working holiday visa and not purchased insurance? Were you asked for proof from border security when entering Canada? Or has anyone been granted a permit only for the duration of their insurance? Tell me everything!
Eeep what country are they from? I'm from Australia (but currently residing in Canada). I submitted Stage One on January 29, got my Conditional Acceptance letter on February 11 and submitted Stage Two on February 15. Still waiting to hear back. Even though it hasn't been the eight weeks all up...
I finally received a response from CIC in regards to the issue I was having when I created this thread.
Dear Client,
Thank you for contacting the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Call Centre’s e-Services Unit.
The situation that you have described is indeed the result of a ongoing...
For some reason I still can't send pm's. I submitted stage two on Feb 14th. Haven't heard anything yet. Set my initial IEC application on Jan 29 so it's been about a month total since I started the process.
I'm not currently working ...
But thanks for your response! Immediately sounds stressful. Would be much nicer if they said 24 - 48 hours or something hahaha.
I have applied for a work permit and my current visitor visa is due to expire soon, so I will be on implied status while awaiting results.
My question is, if my work permit gets rejected how long do I have to leave the country?
I just submitted all my documents for stage two. I'll keep you updated on the timeline!
(I will be so pi$$ed if my application gets rejected and I have to leave Canada).
Is it necessary to fill in the Family Information form? I'm not a passport holder form the listed countries but i'm unsure if it'll let me continue if I don't upload something... Also with the medical one? Did you just print/scan and check the 'no' option?
@iam_toby, if you don't mind me...
Hey Simonvee, i'm unable to send messages yet.
How far are you through your application now? Did changing the country of residence have any implications later on?
I'm probably going to end up doing the same thing because waiting for a response from CIC is killing me, especially when i'm...
I'm having major issues with IEC and CIC not functioning together.
The application process to participate in the International Experience Canada (IEC) initiative involves two stages:
1) IEC Assessment: to determine whether you meet the IEC eligibility criteria, and;
2) Immigration Assessment...
I'm so mad that IEC has made a 'stage 2' CIC crap. I've received an email from WHP with a conditional acceptance letter but i'm apparently ineligible to start stage 2 with CIC because i'm currently residing in Canada on a visitor visa.
(It seems CIC only recognises applicants OUTSIDE of...
