Hello, I think so. I'm in Indonesia and my visa office is Vienna (I applied when I was in Netherlands, hence the distance). Vienna asked me to send my passport by mail, which I just did using DHL service. I think you can do it too.. :) It's a bit impractical to come in person to get the stamp :)

.. because they simply don't :) Indeed as Anvaller said, they only send it at the very end, clipped to your passport. What do you need the receipt for? You can see from your bank account that your money is taken, right?

I got an e-mail from Vienna requesting my passport today (~1.5 week after the Health Commission thing in London received my medical result). Just sent it off by DHL. My hope is up again.. 8) Hang in there folks!
