Just got my passport back after name change ... Disappointed :(

I just got my passport back after I requested a name change. I wasn't expecting them to give me a whole new passport book! I was going to use my passport pages as proof that I visited my husband in Canada, now I don't have those proofs! I don't have flight itenieraries either. Ahhhhhh. Those...

Can someone clear this up for me?

Hey guys this might be a silly question so pardon me but I was wondering if there was an option to type on the forms other than IMM 1344 and IMM 0008. I really don't want to hand fill the forms due to my 'unique' (ahem, chicken stratch) penmanship lol

Thanks Apstone and Pod, +1s to you both. Thank you so much for sharing your guy's experiences. One thing though what did either of you tell the IO the purpose of your guy's visits? Also, Pod, I want to bring my US plated car up as well, did you have to import it what was the process?

Thank you I have read that post and found it helpful. My husband is planning on vouching for me and we were hoping for a visitors record that lasted more than 6 months. I guess we were just being optimistic. Now this makes me scared, I literally have no ties back to the states :(!

Thank you, you pretty much summed the whole car fiasco up. However I am concerned about being let in. I thought if I was obviously intending on either 1) finishing up my application and 2) want to wait out my application that I was be exempted from providing ties to the US. Am I right?

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Oh gosh despite of the information you gave me, I am still confused. I will call CBSA but is there a way you can explain not in Book text words what that all means lol. Extra info, my car has been paid off, it's only 11 years old, and I was hoping I would be able to visit Canada for the whole...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Sorry, I will clarify. I am (american) the sponsored spouse and my husband (canadian) is the sponsor. My husband is planning to visit me in the US by plane and I we thought we'd save money and drive up to Canada with my American car to visit. Would this be a problem? Also my husband was going to...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hey guys it's me again. I need an opinion on my plan here. Originally my hubby and I were going to fly up to Canada together, but decided it would be too expensive. So I was wondering how about the both of us driving up to Canada with MY car (American). Is this a no no? Thanks.

    Schedule A - Should I mention this?

Even if I was under implied status?

    Schedule A - Should I mention this?

Should I mention I was taking a 2-months course (that I didn't finish) while I was in Canada on implied status? I ask this because on question #8 they want to know my personal history of what I did age 18 to now. I'm stressing about this because I know legally I would be able to study in...

    Marriage...i'm in quite a pickle.

There is a public policy that says you can apply for spousal sponsorship even if you are illegal there. I don't really care whether or not you are telling the truth however you really put yourself in the gutter. However I would like to add your story has many inconsistencies. You said before...

    Marriage...i'm in quite a pickle.

You should contact your embassy for a passport. And to be quite honest, depending on how long your courtship with your fiancé is, it may or may not look suspicious. A short courtship, very suspicious.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I really need it since I am planning on going up this August to finish our application. Did you travel by land or fly?

Yes you can be there for 6 months. For me I have always been issued a visitors record. And oh something to add, i don't know if this would apply to your situation, but if the IO feels like you are living in Canada more than in the US you maybe denied entry.
