As far as I know they will give you your husband his passport back with a Visa, once he has that he can go to canada and LAND, his PR card will be ready within a Month of the time he lands, but he's officialy a PR since he lands

No, they only ask for the proof of funds the first time (When you land) After that you can enter the country as a tourist, while you get your PR Card, and after that you just use your PR Card

Just land, do the paperwork and leave, if for whatever reason you need to go to Canada prior to you getting your PR card just use your UK Passport

As far as I know you can use your friends address... And secondly (as I understand it) it is true that you can only enter Canada with that Visa once, but if you have some other kind of visa or are from a visa except country you can exit Canada and return as you please should it be necessary...

Depends, Where are you? I went to a special agency that does those sorts of things (They recomended it at the police station). Very fast and they had the forms, filled them up etc...

As far as I know... You just have to wait until you get a request for your Passports, and you will be done... At least that's what I'm waiting for.
