    Sponsorship approved, what now?

uncychopper, How long did it take between sponsorship being approved and you receiving AOR? My sponsorship was approved almost 4 weeks ago and I still haven't got the AOR from Sydney yet.

Postings for people who starts sending application from September 2009

This thread is really quiet... I'm wondering if anyone has received their AOR yet? Or manage to log into eCAS to check PR status? It's been almost 4 weeks since the sponsorship was approved, but I haven't gotten AOR and I still can't log into eCAS.

Sending my things from Australia to Canada?

Hi, I want to send some of my stuff over from Australia to Canada, but all the movers I've contacted quote really high prices! I've only got about 5-6 boxes, as my husband already has a place with furniture and stuff. And they quote me like AU$1600-$1900!! Is this price normal??? Does anybody...

Postings for people who starts sending application from September 2009

LOL I would if this weren't so important to me! As it is though, it will only make me anxious and maybe even a little depressed if you got something first and I haven't (as un-PC as that sounds, because you know everybody here would feel that way haha). But yea awesome coincidence! Will be great...

nightmare application has been 'misplaced' by the post office

Hi, Not being able to long in doesn't mean anything, as CIC does not update the website immediately after they receive it. They only update CAS weekly, and even then, they only update your status when they begin processing. For me, I only managed to log in three weeks after they received my...

Return plan ticket can be expensive if TRV refused

Hi, I did not provide a return ticket when I applied for TRV either, and I got the visa. Even with my husband over there (which is said to make it almost impossible for me to get it). You just have to make them believe you're going to leave Canada and not stay there illegally.

vnsk80, I wouldn't worry since it usually takes one month for them to process the sponsorship anyway. Once they start, you can expect to receive news of the decision very soon. Should be any time now :)

PLEASE HELP ME! How can I report immigration fraud truly anonymously?

Instead of making this an immigration issue, can I suggest that you seek out help from the police and maybe get a restraining order against him? That would keep him away from you.

Police check certificate for New Zealand

I'm not sure with NZ, but Australian police can send the result anywhere. So as ariell said, whichever visa office you ask them to send it to, they'll send it there.

You can actually pay the right of PR fee of $490 later if you want, that's what I did.

Police check certificate for New Zealand

Hi, I'm applying to Sydney as well and the result of my Australian police check is sent straight to the visa office as well. You don't need to confirm anything on your application, the people at the visa office should be able to put the police check result with your application even if they...

do they notify by e-mail first?

In case anyone's wondering, they don't notify by e-mail before sending the passport back, so don't bother checking every morning like I did. And I GOT MY TRV!!! It's not impossible to visit your spouse in Canada, folks. Good luck. :)

do they notify by e-mail first?

Hi all, just wondering. When they send your passport back with the TRV, did you get a notification by e-mail beforehand, or do you just get the passport straight? Is it the same thing if they are denying TRV--any notification? I've sent an application last week for TRV by mail here in Sydney...

When and how is criminal check done?

Hi I'm in Australia and I did a police check before sending in the application. Keep in mind that I'm doing this outland, applying via the Sydney office. What I did was come to the local police station, they took my fingerprints, then I paid and left. The police took care of the checking and...

is it better to marry in Canada or in the Philippines?

I don't think it matters where you get married, as long as you can show them proof that you are indeed married. One thing though, have your boyfriend apply for a visitor visa before the wedding, because it will be much harder once they have a legal record that you're a couple. I'm trying to get...

Postings for people who starts sending application from September 2009

Hi all, My husband sent our application from Canada (I'm in Australia) in mid-September. Today I checked the status of our application online and for the first time I managed to log in! That alone made me feel so excited. And then I saw that under the 'sponsorship application' field it said...
