    Visitor’s visa while waiting.

Re: Visitor's visa while waiting. From what i've been reading on the forum, it seems like she's unlikely to get a visitor's visa. But try anyway, because some people got lucky and managed to visit their spouses while waiting. I tried my luck and visited over Christmas :D So try it, you might...

    Paying PR Fee

Yeap he mailed it! Also, when I visited the visa office last week, they told me they've already got the notification. It went very smoothly. Good luck!

visit your visa office if you can!

So I went to the Sydney visa office to submit a second package containing records from my recent visit to Canada. The lady behind the desk first just told me she'll add it to my file. I had to ask her if they still need more documents from me. Only then did she pull up my file on the computer...

    Paying PR Fee

In case anyone is still interested... I had my husband send the RPRF to Missisauga, and a few weeks later he got a letter back. It said they've received it, and are notifying the visa office of the payment.

another TRV while PR is in process

I'm currently in Canada on single-entry TRV and my PR application is being processed in Sydney, Australia. I need to leave Canada soon to attend my graduation in Sydney. I'll need another TRV to enter Canada if my PR is not approved by the time I'm finished with graduation and other stuff. At...

Spouse Visit while PR application is in progress

I was also granted TRV while my PR application was in process. I have no idea why I got it when so many people say it's almost impossible, but I'm not complaining ;)

Spouse Visit while PR application is in progress

Hi uday, they didn't ask me for any proof to show temporary visit. That part should've been done when they processed the TRV, so you shouldn't have any problems at POE. They also allowed me a 6-months stay like Suin, so I'm thinking that might be standard treatment. Don't worry too much, you'll...

Spouse Visit while PR application is in progress

Hi Uday, as long as she has her TRV, that won't be a problem. Do you want her to come to Canada now for a visit or permanently? Just out of curiosity, because either way it's fine. I've been in Canada for two weeks now on TRV. No problem at all at port of entry. The officer asked me what I was...

    Paying PR Fee

nyssa, I'll let you know what happens with my payment :) But I think you'll be better off sending your application in January instead of holding it off just because of the right of PR fee, which can be paid at a later date. That's just my opinion though.

    Paying PR Fee

Thanks Maple Syrup, I've decided to do that. I tried paying online just now, and a webpage loaded that asked me where I'll be sending my application. Do I pick Mississauga or a local visa office?

    Paying PR Fee

Before I sent my package to Missisauga, I paid online for the sponsorship fee and main applicant fee. However, I haven't paid the right of permanent residence fees because I was already paying so much for medicals, police checks, etc. But I've heard that this could cause delays, and since I can...

Inviting my wife to visit canada

Hi, my husband is a Canadian PR and we're in the midst of applying for my PR. I'm an Indonesian living in Australia on student visa and the visa office that handled the processing was the one in Sydney, Australia. I got my TRV on on the first try, even though I didn't really expect to. Here's...

Sending in extra photos after submitting application?

toby, there is an option to upload files in the online enquiry form, so I'm guessing that's where people send it from. I thought of sending extra stuff because my husband and I haven't been together for that long (10 months). We had a civil registration 6 months into the relationship, to which...

Sending in extra photos after submitting application?

I'm spending Christmas and New Year in Canada with my husband :) I'm wondering if it will help my case if I send them extra evidence from my trip (boarding passes, photos, etc.). Or would it actually slow down the process? Has anyone done this? From reading around here, it seems people either...

Visa Office question - "Lawfully admitted to for at least one year"?

It seems to me that there's differing opinions even within CIC and visa offices about this. I never would've nominated Sydney as my visa office if the person on the phone from CIC in Canada didn't say it was okay. And I'd be furious at Canadian CIC office if my application is delayed for months...

Visa Office question - "Lawfully admitted to for at least one year"?

I sent an enquiry to Sydney visa office. They told me they've received my application from Missisauga and also said: "Once your file has been reviewed by an immigration officer you will then be advised whether we can continue to process your application through our office.  As you had valid...

Visa Office question - "Lawfully admitted to for at least one year"?

That's what I thought too when I read it, because I've been living here in Australia for 5 years so I thought I was safe. But it kinda makes more sense that they'd want you to have 1 year visa left, doesn't it? I hope it's alright though. We called CIC before submitting but you know, just to be...

Visa Office question - "Lawfully admitted to for at least one year"?

I'm holding a student visa in Australia that's expiring in January 2010. In my PR application, I have nominated the visa office in Sydney, Australia. Before we submitted the application in September, my husband had called CIC in Canada and asked them, and they said that was okay. I have just...
