yes, that's how i read in almost all blogs/forums. Also, few of the replies from VO for the inquiries had confirmed it; they have mentioned that they can not tell timeline as it depends on when they get report from the private company on bg/security check

Regarding DD validity, the draft I took had a note saying "Effective Apr 1, 2012, Drafts are valid only for 3 months from date of issue as per RBI regulations" Not sure if few banks didnt receive the order for the same :S

Yesterday my friend's friend received his passport with visa stamped !!!! Not very sure about their time line but came to know that the status changed to decision made within a week after they sent their RPRF Fee and PPs

Some update: For one of our friends, their DD has been encashed and eCAS status is "Decision Made" since last week. Expecting their passports by this week; lets see if we can hear abt the first visa stamped in known group in this year
