My husband received the visa today! It was very kind of them to complete it in time for his flight to Albania. He will probably be coming to Canada by the end of the month!

I never specifically asked them if it would minimize the processing time, but I am certain that it will especially since there is no courier involved, which could take a while. They never said that getting the visa it wasn't possible this week, so we're just hoping that we hear from them today...

Congratulations on the PPR and to everyone who got their visa or are close to it! I guess this means my husband will have to go in for an interview since we sent in our application the same day as yours. I'm not sure why since I didn't think we really had any red flags.

I believe that Pearson airport (if that's where he'll be landing) has interpreters for many languages. If he can speak Italian then they should most likely be able to find someone to help him. You should try to contact them to ask, it would definitely save you a lot of money!

If you end up needing your husband's signature it should only cost him about 5 dollars to print it and mail it to youom anywhere in Albania for about 2 weeks. But hopefully they accept your use of a representative form, that would be much easier!

Also, my ecas status says medical results received. I'm not sure if that means that Rome received my application but I doubt it since it was only transferred there on Thursday, is it usually Rome or Mississauga that adds medicals received? Thanks
