I mentioned previously on this thread that submitting extra documents didn't change processing time for my spouse. So I wouldn't make any statements about how additional documents affect processing time based on one sample.
No. I moved few times and and was doing few different things. However, I provided rental agreements, car insurances, T4, tax assessments, OHIP history, travel history from home country, etc together with my application.
It wasn't hard. I can only share what resources I used to prepare for the test:

I agree with you. I don't think my application was expedited because of extra supporting documents. My spouse did the same in summer and the processing time has been average comparing to people who applied at that time. Actually CIC started processing spouses's application around one month later...
Yes, three times. I have provided some supporting documents along with my application. OHIP history, history of crossing the border from my home country, tax returns, T4, etc (based on what they demand for RQ).
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 12, 2013.
We started processing your application on January 2, 2014.
