It does not say application received and it was a paper application, so it was not linked to myCIC account. I have just send my application to visa office n now waiting for reply. Is there anything i need to worry about???

We seriously cant do much about it. I am going to call them on monday and if there will be no response then I have to cancel my tickets on the same day as my flight is on wednesday... wish if i would have booked refundable flights...

for online application, you send limited documents. For paper application, you have the privilege to send more documents.

you have a genuine problem but remember they dont care if you have a valid reason etc you have to be there whenever they calls you, if you really want to get this visa.

paper application is a best way and takes about a month or so.

I am not a senior here but I would like to suggest you to have a deferred offer letter ready from the college. Just in case if you does not get a reply from high commission by say 28th of august then email your new offer letter to them(this might help, since its too late)
