Hello All; Is there anybody from Montreal ? My status is still AOR received. Kinda slow compared to others. I received AOR on 12 September and application was received on 11 Aug.

Hello All; Curious to know, what happens after receiving AOR. Do they transfer the file to the local office immediately ? and "In process" status means local office received the file from Nova Scotia ?

Thanks idris_halai !! May be, I will resend the application with the same reason if I dont receive my AOR for 5 weeks. Just curious, other than this reason, what reasons can be given on cover letter while resending ?

Hi idris_halai: A quick question, did you resent because you did not receive the AOR for couple of weeks ? If yes, how many weeks did you wait before resending it ?

I spoke with CIC again today and agent told that if you dont receive anything for 5 weeks, resend the package. Just need to clarify if we need to attach any cover letter mentioning that we have already sent first on 11 Aug and this is 2nd package as per suggestion by agent.

Yeah, I read some of the discussions on this forum where applicants didnt receive AOR for 6-8 months and when they raised written request to CIC on it, CIC were not able to track the application though applicants had signature confirmation that someone received it.

Hello Srinivas; I spoke with CIC yesterday and the agent suggested to re-send the application if I dont receive AOR by 15 September with the same payment receipt. I think, it is good suggestion as there are some cases where CIC lost the applications with no trace.

Just called CIC call centre. They are presently processing the applications received on 12 Aug. Mine was received on 11 Aug. So dont know whats going on.

Yeah, I am checking Inbox and junk as well..... but no news yet. Hope they have not returned it......
